Felipe Fenton
My journey into photography started at the Brooks Institute of
Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Although I was enrolled as a
film production major, everyone had to learn the basics on a still
photography camera. I was hooked.
I love photographing people, architecture, flowers and found objects.
INSPIRATION
I first got introduced to photography by my step dad, who shared
with me a book by Richard Avedon. I was mesmerized by the
simplicity and striking nature of his portraits. Then I started noticing
flowers as subjects thanks to my father. He was a jeweler who
discovered a way to "mummify" leaves and flowers, hand painted
them and combined them with precious and semi-precious stones,
thus creating truly stunning and unique works of art.
